Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy

Growing up is not easy, particularly these days.

Young people often benefit from psychotherapy to help them navigate their emotions in the face of school, family, and social pressures.

Children struggle with many of the same challenges that adults do: self-image, anxiety, stress, anger, impulse control, peer relationships, and depression. We specialize in providing therapy for children and teens ages 2 – 18 working from a strengths-based approach.

We view our work with children from a biopsychosocial perspective, seeking first to understand the “why” of each child’s unique situation. We combine developmentally appropriate cognitive behavioral, insight-oriented, play, and mindfulness modalities to create change and increase resiliency.
